One With Christ Ministry Newsletter Dear Family & Friends, Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord for He is so worthy to be praised! For Gods Word says that He will never leave us nor forsake us. No matter what is going on He will always be with you. So let us praise the Lord everyday and be thankful for all that He has done. In September 1999, Sue and I stepped out in faith to fulfill Gods calling in our lives. Through prayer, we know that God has given us a vision and our testimonies to go forth in the ministry. Beginning in November 2000, God began to reveal to us new ways to spread His word. This ministry issued its first newsletter in January 2001. Later on that year, we established a web site containing the testimonies of Gods grace in our lives and information about One With Christ Ministries. We have no idea how far God will spread His truth through this ministry. We just follow His guidance and let Him do the rest. Praise you God for all that you do! We enjoy traveling as Evangelists, and thank God for each open door, but we know God uses the newsletters and web site to minister to many people that will never attend one of our ministering services. We are so grateful and so thankful to God for all that He is doing. This issue is our 20th newsletter since we started in 2001. The number of homes that receive the newsletters each month has grown from 10 to over 50. At present, newsletters are sent to homes in the following 13 states: FL, KY, WI, IN, AZ, WA, OH, OK, NC, SC, MO, IL, and GA. The mailing list continues to grow. We give the glory to God for what He has done with the newsletter. In addition, the web site is reaching people all over the world. Our travels in the month of August took us to several places. First, we attended a Prophetic Conference in Hindman, KY, August 9th-11th. Pastor Tootsie Gudal ministered Sunday night, August 11th. It was an awesome time of refreshment of Gods word and prophecies spoken over many people attending the services. We were blessed to be there. Second, Sue and I were invited to the 7th Annual Brittian Ministries Conference in Hickory, NC. We attended the August 16th service to hear Reverends Don & Julie Robertson preach. It was an awesome outpouring of the Holy Spirit with an anointed message from God through His servants. It was good to see Don & Julie, our brother and sister in Christ, again. Third, One With Christ Ministries
was invited by Pastor J. L. Pate to preach and minister at Abundant Life Pentecostal
Church in Franklin, NC, on Sunday morning, August 18th. The message that God
put on my heart to preach was entitled From a Stony Heart to a Heart of Flesh to the
Love of Jesus. Also, the Bible School of Elijah met on August 23rd and 24th which weve been attending all year. The teaching this month was on the gifts of the Holy Spirit. We enjoyed and were blessed by the awesome and anointed teaching. We thank Pastor Tootsie and her staff for coming each month to teach the Bible School. We ask you to pray for Pastor Tootsie and her staff and the Bible School each month. We have 4 more months left of the school. On August 30th, we traveled to Covington, GA to spend some time with our son Wayne, daughter-in-law Lori, and grandson Lonis Peter who came down from Fitchburg, WI, to visit Loris family. Our precious grandson is 21 months old now. He is talking and constantly staying busy with something or other. Sunday, September 1st, Sue and I went to a church with our son, daughter-in-law, grandson, and our daughter-in-laws family. It was good to be in one of Gods churches together as a family. We had a very exciting visit and time of fellowship with our son and his family.
In writing this months message on PEACE, I find myself asking God about the peace that He gives us. Sue and I have been through many tests and valleys the last few months. We found that prayer, and seeking Gods face and His guidance was the way to get peace back into our lives. No matter what you are going through, whether it is physical or emotional illness, spiritual warfare, persecution, hurt, or loneliness, just hold on and pray to God for his divine guidance. God knows what we are all going through and He will never leave us nor forsake us no matter the circumstances. As we have been in prayer the last few weeks, God spoke to us and said to us, get back to where my peace is, His peace in our lives. We had to go back to where the peace of God was in our lives and when we got back to His peace then there was such rest, love, joy and happiness in our lives again. It is so important to have the peace of God in your life, without it there will be less love, joy and happiness. When you get back to the peace of God, you will then find His presences and the abundance of His love with a joyful heart and a rest in Him. It is our prayer for each of you to be in the peace of God and to rest in Him each day. Psalms 91:1,21 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. This is the PEACE of God, ask God for that PEACE.
1 Samuel 25:6 6And thus shall ye say to him that liveth in prosperity, Peace be both to thee, and peace be to thine house, and peace be unto all that thou hast. Psalm 4:8 8I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety. Psalm 37:11 11But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. Proverbs 16:7 7When a mans ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him. John 14:27 27Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 16:33 33These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. Romans 8:6 6For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. II Corinthians 13:11 11Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you. Philippians 4:7 7And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. The following information is from Discover the Bible, Nelson Electronic Publishing, Bible Dictionary. (Please take the time to read, from your bible, the scriptures referenced below): PEACE a word with several different meanings in the Old and New Testaments. The Old Testament meaning of peace was completeness, soundness, and well-being of the total person. This peace was considered God-given, obtained by following the Law (Ps. 119:165). Peace sometimes had a physical meaning, suggesting security (Ps. 4:8), contentment (Is. 26:3), prosperity (Ps. 122:67) and the absence of war (1 Sam. 7:14). The traditional Jewish greeting, shalom, means peace and was a wish for peace. In the New Testament, peace often refers to the inner tranquility and poise of the Christian whose trust is in God through Christ. This understanding was originally expressed in the Old Testament writings about the coming MESSIAH (Is. 9:67). The peace that Jesus Christ spoke of was a combination of hope, trust, and quiet in the mind and soul, brought about by a reconciliation with God. Such peace was proclaimed by the host of angels at Christs birth (Luke 2:14), and by Christ Himself in His SERMON ON THE MOUNT (Matt. 5:9) and during His ministry. He also taught about this kind of peace at the Lords Supper, shortly before His death (John 14:27). The apostle Paul later wrote that such peace and spiritual blessedness was a direct result of faith in Christ (Rom. 5:1). God bless you and thank you for your prayers for the ministry and us. To those that give financially to the ministry, you can see how your support to Gods ministry is blessing and reaching out to the lost and hurting world, your giving makes it all possible. Thank you so much for your faithfulness to God. We love you all in the Lord Jesus. Take the time to give and share with others the love of Jesus.
