One With Christ Ministries Newsletter Volume 3 Issue 4 April 2003 Dear Family and Friends, Psalm 18:1,2 1 I will love thee, O LORD, my strength. 2The
LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I
will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. As Susan and I continue to seek God for direction for the ministry and us, it is clear to us that God has called us into a time and season of getting to know Him and loving Him as He knows us and loves us. God has said to us both to get back to His peace. This started in June of last year when we attended a conference with three seasoned ministers as guest speakers. Each one of them spoke about how God spoke to them about getting back to the His peace. This is where Susan and I are at. God has called us to be in His peace and get know Him and His love. We know that in God, His time and season is different than ours, and also His thoughts and His ways. Susan and I know that He has called us into a rest with Him. We are in a season of abiding, waiting and resting in Him. We believe that God has called us into a place of teaching, preparing and discipline in Him that we may continue to grow in His Holy Word and be more effective as He sends us forth in the ministry that He has entrusted us with. In the last few months, we have been in prayer and seeking God about going to a credited Bible School. We feel this would benefit us greatly in teaching, preaching and presenting the Word of God as we go forth in the ministry. God has opened a door for us at a Bible School Campus in Sylva, North Carolina. Christian Life School of Theology holds classes once a month. Susan and I want first to achieve a diploma certificate, which will be 10 classes or 30 credit hours and then earn an Associate degree and continue in Bible school, as time will allow. We are excited about this opportunity and we ask that you be in prayer for us. The Message This Month Is Entitled Our Refuge & Strength Psalm 46 Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:2 Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Psalm 46:3 Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though
the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah. (Selah means think or pause) Psalm 46:4 There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High. Psalm 46:5 God is in
the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early. Psalm 46:6 The heathen
raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted. Psalm 46:7 The LORD of
hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah. Psalm 46:8 Come,
behold the works of the LORD, what desolations he hath made in the earth. Psalm 46:9 He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire. Psalm 46:10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
Psalm 46:11 The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah. We
received this by e-mail and felt it would be a blessing! EAGLES IN A STORM Did you know that an eagle
knows when a storm is approaching long before it breaks? The eagle will fly to some
high spot and wait for the winds to come. When the storm hits, it sets its wings so
that the wind will pick it up and lift it above the storm. While the storm rages below, the
eagle is soaring above it. The eagle does not escape the storm. It simply uses the
storm to lift it higher. It rises on the winds that bring the storm. When the storms of life come upon us we can rise above them by setting our minds and our belief toward God. The storms do not have to overcome us. We can allow God's power to lift us above them . We can soar above the storm. Remember, it is not the burdens of life that weigh us down; it is how we handle them. Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Author
Unknown From Sues Desk Are you working for God today? If our focus at
work is upon external influences--pleasing our supervisor, getting ahead, or out
performing a coworker frustration is sure to arise.
That is why we must place God first, working for Him to the best of our
abilities. Last month in a counseling class, I received revelation about are we
working to please God? We cannot please God anymore than He is already pleased with
us. Jesus has already done the work; we just need to receive Jesus and all His blessings. For some reason or another we feel we need to work
hard to earn Gods approval. We need to
receive that God has already given us His approval through His Son. We are not working for Gods approval; we are
working from Gods approval. Amen! I
pray that this will be revelation to you as well. When
working from Gods approval keep this in mind: Religion spells work DO; real
Christianity spells work DONE. IN HIS

Bills Studies Each month I will share with you one of the 12 names of God
that I have read or studied in the Bible. The
name of God will be listed along with its meaning and a scripture from the Bible. Month of April Jehovah-Elyon (the Lord most
high) Ephesians 1:19-20 (KJV) And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to
us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power. Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him
from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places. Prayer Request Please continue to pray for the hand of God to be upon our President and his family, our leaders, our military men and women, military families and our nation the United States of America. Thank You And God Bless You All. Our Hearts Desire Of One With Christ
Ministries Newsletter It is our hearts desire that One With Christ Ministries Newsletters will be a blessing to you and full of encouragement and hope so that you will have a deeper walk with God, come to know Him as He knows you, and to love God as He loves you. God wants His people to love Him and have a personal relationship with Him and to walk in a deeper walk with Him the Lord your God. We are finding out for ourselves that the more we draw nigh to God the more He draws nigh to us. God wants us to fellowship with Him, to be in His likeness and image, to do all things with Him, to hear His voice, to see what He sees, to say what he says, to walk where He walks and to do His will as His Son Jesus Christ did to reveal His Father. We are called to do His will, to reveal God to everyone that we meet, to have a compassionate heart and show the love of Jesus just as He did while on this earth. May we go forth and give the love of Jesus to all that we meet each day. Let us not miss an opportunity to be a witness for God to tell the lost, hurting, and wounded people of this world that Jesus loves them and has forgiven them of their sins. May God fill your hearts with an overflowing of His peace and love. We thank you for your continual prayers and support for the ministry that God has entrusted us with. We love you in the Lord Jesus. God Bless You. Your gifts to the ministry are appreciated and tax-deductible. In Our Heavenly Fathers Love, Reverends Bill & Sue |
